It can involve removing components from the motorcycle for proper inspection and servicing rather than relying only on external checks. Depending on the motorcycle’s age, condition and history, this may include:

• wheel bearing removal, inspection, adjustment and repacking, or replacement where bearings are not serviceable

• steering-head bearing inspection, cleaning, lubrication, adjustment or replacement
